Investigative reporter Chris Jones, KUTV 2News, visited Tooele County School District and met with faculty at Sterling Elementary​ to talk about the changing security needs in schools and the cost involved.

We are requesting food donations November 7-18 during the KUTV Eye on Your Money Holiday Food Drive. All food donations will be used for weekend meal kits for students in need.

There are four ways to donate.
1. Food donations can be made at any school in the District.

2. On November 14, bring your food donations to Tooele High School where KUTV news reporter Cristina Flores will be going live on channel 2.

3. For monetary donations, there are two options available. You can make a donation online to the Tooele Education Foundation for weekend meal kits. Be sure to select "Students in Need Donations." Or, you can donate online for unpaid school meal balances.

Any food that is not used for student weekend meal kits will be given to the Tooele Community Resource Center Food Pantry.

Join us on Nov. 8, 2022, for the Board of Education meeting at the District office, 92 Lodestone Way, Tooele. The public session begins at 6 p.m.

On Oct. 25, 2022 all students were automatically OPTED IN for Local Use of Student Information in Skyward. This was done to assure that students would be included in class pictures and year books. If you DO NOT want your student's information to be allowed for Local Use, parents/guardians must go into Skyward Family Access and OPT OUT of Local Use. Families are encouraged to review all uses of student information and update preferences as needed.

If you would like to have your student’s information included in items such as class pictures, year books, team rosters, and new articles, be sure to check your Skyward Family Access and confirm you have allowed for publication of information.
Students are automatically opted out of all publications in the registration process. Parents and guardians have the option to include or exclude their student’s information. Currently, most families have not filled in this information and by default have opted out their student from these publications.

Join us Tuesday, October 11 at 6 p.m. for the TCSD Board of Education Meeting. Meetings are held in the Board room at the District office, 92 Lodestone Way, Tooele.

Tooele County School District uses the Standard Response Protocol created by the i Love U Guys Foundation. This common language helps everyone to communicate clearly.
